Overview

Search Explorer lets you view real-time app store search results and keyword data, allowing you to gain insights into how your app ranks for specific keywords, observe changes in ranking positions, and identify trends in user search behavior.

You can also track competitor performance to stay informed about your position in the market. With all these features, you can enhance your app's visibility and attract more downloads.

To access Search Explorer, click on Stores Analytics in the left menu:

To get started, select the boxes next to your required app stores, type in a keyword, and click Explore:

Instant result

Turn on this feature to see search results as you type in a keyword. This simulates a real-time search experience within an app store.

When you search a keyword, you will see the following information:

Avg. estimated installs

Estimated number of daily installs on the first TOP-5 positions is the average number of app downloads that the top five apps appear to receive each day for a specific keyword.

By studying this data, you can find out a lot about the number of visitors and level of interest in the top-rated apps.

Keyword data

Under the search bar, you will find a table that gives more information related to the word or phrase that you searched for in selected app stores:

  • Daily Impressions - approximate number of keyword views per day.
  • Search Ads Populaty (for App Store only) - the popularity of a keyword, based on App Store searches.
  • Difficulty - index that shows the difficulty of app promotion for the keyword.
  • Total Apps - the total count of applications displayed in the search results for a specific keyword.

Search results

After the table, you'll see a list of search results for the keyword, along with the valuable data:

  • Price - the amount charged for a paid application.
  • Category where an app is published on an app store.
  • Latest release - the date when an application was last updated.
  • Rank history - a visual representation showing the changes in Rank over the past several days.
  • Movement - the change in your keyword's Rank compared to its position from the previous day.

Next to each app, you'll find a three-dot button that provides access to additional options and actions:

When you select several app stores, only Rank History and Movement will be displayed.

Suggestions

On the right, you can also see suggestions for the keyword.

By analyzing these suggestions, you can see what users are looking for and find more keywords that people search for and that could make your app more visible.

You can add a keyword to the Keyword Table in Find & Track by clicking on '+', or add all suggestions at once by clicking on 'Save all'.

Position history

The next tab is called Position History. Here, you can see search results for the keyword over the last 14 days. This feature provides a timeline showing how the ranking of your app and its competitors has changed over time for the selected keyword.

You can see if there are any trends that show up when you look at the data. These trends might be related to changes in marketing, the time of year, or updates to the app.

Blank icons in most cases show in-app purchases and application collections.
